Jejuri Shirdi Pandharpur

Badri, my elder brother, with his wife, my sister-in-law & their children came to Pune on Jan.15, 2015. We planned for a trip to Jejuri on 16th and Shirdi Pandharpur on 17th & 18th.

Had snacks in the nearby hotel, after coming down.

A stop at wholesale saree depot.

Reached home by 5pm. Later evening by 7pm we started for Shirdi trip. Booked stay at Sai Sansthan trust in Shirdi. Very good location for Sai devotee's stay. Very clean rooms.

We booked darshan at 12.30 afternoon. Had breakfast nearby temple & went inside temple, finished darshan in an hour time.

Lunch at Bhojanalaya. 

Vacated room by 4pm and started for Pandharpur. Its a quiet long trip of 8 hours travel. Reached Pandharpur by 12 mid night. Stayed in a bhakta nivas near by temple.

Started by 8am to temple. A small Krishna temple just before the Rukmini Vittala temple.

My brother, being a government officer, got some special arrangement for darshan.

We came out by 10.30am. Had break fast at near by hotel

By 12.30 afternoon we started from Pandharpur, on way to Pune. Had lunch inbetween.

Reached Magarpatta @ Pune by 5pm.

Bhimashankar Triambakeshwar Feb.2015

After our trip to Jejuri, we started to Bhimashankar, at 8.30am on 21-Feb (Saturday). Bhimashankar is one of the 12 Jyothirlinga of Lord Shiva.

The place in between Sahayadri hills must be very pleasant during monsoon, hope.

Reached the temple parking at 12.30 afternoon. Dolly services available for devotees. Bhimashankar temple is different from the other temples where one has to climb down for the darshan and climb up to exit.

There are shops on both sides as well as nice roof so that one wont get tired on way.

There are no big restaurants around the temple.But there are shops for juices snacks and other basic stuff. Had lunch near the parking lot. The chappathis made for us are very soft & delicious. We thanked the shop owner and continued our journey at 3.30pm towards Nashik, for Triambakeshwar.

Reached Triambakeshwar by 9.30 in the night. Stayed at Bhakta Nivas near temple. The room rent is cheap Rs.750/- for 2 rooms, 6 beds & good in quality.

After break fast, by 8am we walked towards the temple. 

The temple is quiet good and well organized. We had a very good darshan at the temple. We liked the place very much. 

Snacks /tea at nearby hotel outside the temple. And started by 11.30am, onward journey to Nashik.

In Nashik, we went to Panchawadi (5 trees) where we had darshan of Seetha Guha where Ram Seetha & Lakshman lived. One has to scroll to enter the guha. 

Also visited Gora Ram & Kala Ram temple nearby.

By 2.30pm, started from Nashik, towards our home @ Magarpatta.

Reached home at 7pm, Sunday, 22-Feb.

Jejuri Feb 2015

My father's younger brother, Rama Rao came with his wife & daughter-in-law on 19-Feb-15 for a trip around Pune.

We went to Jejuri on 20-Feb (Friday). Started by 9am and reached after an hour travel towards Saswad from Magarpatta City, our home.

Jejuri is Kandoba temple, main deity being Lord Shiva. It has 300+ around steep steps to climb up.

Return and crossed Narayanpur, Datta mandir. Had lunch at the parking lot.

Onward journey to Balaji temple. Laddu prasad distributed for everyone, as usual this time also.

Back to Magarpatta by 5.30pm after a short stop at wholesale saree depot.
